For many, our work and careers bring a great deal of satisfaction and feeling of achievement. There are times, however, when your working or professional life can face challenges, work related issues can cause stress, anxiety and even depression, when that happens therapy for working life issues helps.
The rewards of your work and career are many and varied, for some it is the sense of achievement, for others it is the social life that it brings and for many the main reward is the salary and what this allows you to do in your life. Many of us are happy enough and face the weekly work routine with a mix of ambivalence, normality or a sense of going through the motions. However, it can be that you hit a bumpy patch where the thought of going into work fills you with a sense of dread or anxiety or you feel that you cannot change your work and are stuck.

We look at what is going on for you and what issues might be affecting the situation. We will work together to create change for you and identify how you can implement action that will alter your experience. We explore what the triggers are and possible root causes of your issues or concerns in the office or with your professional relationships and we look at ways of improving or handling the situation.

Work Related Issues Counselling is a non-judgmental space where you can be open and honest about your feelings, insecurities, anxieties and worries without fear of repercussions.
Giving yourself space and time helps you begin to make sense of the situation and how you feel about it. This exploratory work can lead to an understanding of certain emotions and perhaps consequently to certain behaviors.
When you are surrounded by your work, and enveloped in your workplace setting, it can be hard to see things objectively, taking a step away from your work surroundings can help you see things more clearly. Having someone ask you about your feelings and reactions, in a non judgemental and supportive way can help you to explore what is really going on and develop a plan to move forward. Step by step you begin to make clear something that can seem so unclear, confusing or overwhelming in the workplace setting.
